Unfortunately I don't think anyone will ever truly know this. If you look at the beauty of our earth and the complexities of our bodies, that may be enough to know that God exists. But at the same time, the evolution theory and the big bang theories make sense.

It would be - if evidence for the existence of God came to light then that would be 'proof' that he exists.  

Unfortunately you cannot do the opposite as proving a negative is an impossibility, especially when the hypothetical goal posts are so easily moved.  

An example of this is the refutation of the claim that God exists within Heaven, which is in 'the sky'.  Since we have been into the sky and are able to view it near constantly, we can determine that 'the sky' is uninhabited by any deities.  An easy rebuttal of this is to say something along the lines of 'Heaven isn't in the sky, it's in another dimension".   Since we have no means of testing this claim, it is unprovable and ultimately outside of the realm of science.

Yes... the most obvious one is the rainbow... if there was no rainbow before the great flood and now we have one what changed...

Water is and forever will be H20.. if it were anything else it would not be water. simple

Protons... (light, energy) pass thru water.  the reflection seperates into the colours of the rainbow...

So if there was not rainbow before the flood and now there is then the protons had to change...

There is no such thing.  Science cannot prove or disprove g-d and same thing vice versa.  Though, at least science can find facts, rethink its theories, and open for discussion while religion is pretty much "what we say so and b/c in our tradition so just believe it."  

I've been asking myself the same thing.  There's no hard definitive proof either way.

Science examines "natural" phenomena. God is, by definition, "supernatural" phenomena. So, science cannot examine something that is above natural phenomena...hence can't make any claims for/against God.

i think that is evidence you have to collect on your own. like the proof i will present you will that proves there is a higher power working in my own life, wouldn't really matter to you because it's my own experience and my own evidence.

i don't know if this is scientific or not but i know it to be fact.

it is something that everyone has to figure out for themselves. i don't know if there is like one God and everyone has the same one...i believe it to be more personal and you don't have to believe in my higher power and i don't have to believe in yours. it's my own evidence that makes me believe that there is something that is more powerful than me.

I dont think God exsits because of the "Big Bang Theory"  If God exsited he would make life on all the planetes and he could have just made all the planets apear instead of causing so much destruction in the Big Bang.

Any 'proof' in the modern sense cannot be applied, only conjecture.

Such as, post Big Bang, what is the likelihood that all the energy created would...somehow become amino acids and eventually people, without some outside force?

There really isnt any hard proof, except this.  If you take the time line, outlined in the Bible, and cross it with carbon dating... they simply do not add up.

How can a dinosaur fossil, for example, be millions of years old, yet the bible only will account for roughly 4,000 years of the earths existance?

I think science and religion thrive off each other.  One, with out the other, would not be as powerful.  Each claims to be right, but, with out the other, you are really proving nothing.

Ricky, that which exists provides it's own proof. I can be detected, measured, weighed, analyzed. I communicate in verifiable ways. we don't generally try to prove non-existence. For example, can you give me a sound proof scientifically that there is no real fairy in Never Never Land named Tinkerbell? Why would you need to. If such a being existed and yet gave no indication of existence and no evidence of any effect on our reality, why is the question relevant? In such a case the existence and non-existence of such a being are identical as far as we are concerned. That is the case with God. The lack of evidence for anyone's version of gods is identical to the evidence we would find if no such beings existed. So whether there is or isn't a god or gods is irrelevant since there is no indication that anything is changed one way or the other.

i think this is a trick question, scientifically its very had to prove religious matters right or wrong.

I'm not a christian so i don't have a god, i have my own beliefs but i don't feel the need to prove anything i believe in, people like the idea of magic and mystery, by believing in a god (or 6) it helps people understand the world from a different angle, asking them to prove what they believe is asking them to choose between what we know is true and what we hope is true.

no we cant prove god is real, but can you prove he is'nt?

ill give you proof he doesnt exist. When a person gets cancer or some other disease and the doctor says that they are going to die and somehow they dont die and the cancer disappears, they call it a miracle (act of god). but if a person gets in an accident and loses their arm they cant grow another arm. How can that person not have a miracle happen to them? its because god doesnt exist.
