Basically, a network system is just a group of computers that are linked to each other through a "hub".  

A "network" can consist of just 2 computers or may be many more.  Most companies maintain their own "office" network.   I have 4 PC's on my home network.

The Internet IS the world wide web.  It is a global network.  You'll need an Internet Service Provider to gain access to it, (AOL, Comcast, etc.).
