So please, give me an example of a thing that we don't know that we don't know.

the only true thing that we don't know is how nuclear power works. it is still a work in progress. the whole thing is based on theory. albeit it works, but a better definition would be helpful.

Knowing you do not know and not knowing are the same. I cannot give you an example because then you would know.

By receiving an answer to your question, you have eliminated your answer.  For instance, you don't know my full name.  But by pointing out to you that you don't know my name, you now know that you don't know it.  So there goes your answer.  All I can now say is that there are things that you don't know that you don't know... but if I were to tell you one, then you would know it.  Great question!  I love it!
