  1. Sociodramatic play is often used to help children acquire social information and learn social norms.  You could offer a variety of costumes for different professions and have the students act out what those professionals do for the community.  Younger children do well with acting upon stuffed animals or dolls to rehearse social roles, like being the teacher or mother to a doll.  Having household toys, like a play kitchen, telephone, or garden tools, could also be useful.  It depends on the goal of the task.

  2. Make funny hats for your fingers

paint little faces on your fingers

Here Comes Mr. Top Hat!  Hello he says

Hi says little Mr Baseball cap! I want to go to the bank to open a achecking account will you take me there?

    Sure

  3. Story buckets are fun. In a story bucket you put all of the props to a familiar story in a bucket, tote, whatever along with a copy of a familiar book. The children are then free to act out the story, add their own endings, etc. This reinforces the story and invites open ended play for the children. It is a lot of fun. i would recommend reading the story several times before introducing the story bucket. If the pre school has a dramatic play learning center you can also change this area a bit by adding the story bucket to this area for a few weeks.

  4. ok I have saved items after I finish using them and I ask coworkers to do the same (shampoo, lotion, soap bottles, food contaniers, etc.) then I would set it up like a home with a kitchen play food.  If you collect a wide variety of items kids will relate them to what they see at home and begin to imitate social behaviors.  Also a "home/school connection" which is important for creating inviting environments for children.  Baby dolls are also good for nurturing other.  Hope this helps

  5. well, at that age they really shouldn't be doing drama, they should be doing fun stuff like peter pan, the three little pigs, little red riding hood, stuff like that, they aren't old enough to be doing shakespeare or drama like that. just fun.
