  1. there are many examples of symetrical architecture. people see symitry as beauty, so they tend to consider symetrical things beautiful, so alot of architecture is symetrical. some examples are (im not 100% sure, check blueprints to be sure) the colleseum, notre dame, the pyramids. there are lots of others

    Built on a Roman Temple of Jupiter as a shrine to the rock Mohammed received part of the Koran upon.

    Stonehenge, England.

    Druid and pre-druid celtic temple.

  3. Guess you would have to start with the Pyramids. No one knows why that particular form was chosen, but it may have to do with the angle of sunlight falling on the Earth, since the Pharoah was considered a son of the sun god.
