Can you give me insight about this guy?

Went on 3 dates with this guy but we haven't kissed yet. These are a few things he HAS done so far:

1.) He opens all doors for me and pays for me - I always quietly thank him.

2.) He occasionally texts just to "say hi" (I do the same)

3.) He told me stories about how much he's there for his friend who is going through a lot of problems

4.) He told me how his friend's kids are attached to him

5.) He wore cologne and dressed in a nicely during our last date

6.) As I was telling a story about one of my friends, he angled his head in my direction (we were sitting about a foot apart)

7.) He told me about an accomplishment he had at work where he was on the news. (I praised him and he became very modest)

8.) The other day when I asked him if I was bothering him in a text message he said I wasn't bothering him at all and he responded to my question.

9.) I also asked him what his next work schedule is like and he didn't answer the text message

10.) He didn't walk me to the car when each of our dates ended

I'm interested in him but I'm VERY shy, I'm not good at initiating things and I'm not good at reading guys. What do all of his actions mean? Is he still "into" me?

He might have came out of a relationship where things moved to fast and that's where things went wrong.  It sounds that you really like him so i think you should just wait until it seems that he is ready to move onto the next step.  It's his choice and it should be respected.
