  1. - As soon as I got my schedule, I got a map of my school and highlighted the rooms I had classes in. That helped me in the begining of freshman year. Often schools will be open at least part of the day in the summer, so you could always check that and maybe go in to find your classes. Soon you'll know your way around very well. It also wouldn't hurt if you found other people you have classes with and walked with them.

    - While we do have to change at my high school, we don't have to shower unless we specifically want to, so I can't really help you on that one. . .

    - If your teachers give review sheets, STUDY THAT! They put it on there for a reason. Also, if you are doing any in-class reviewing, take notes on anything you don't know 100% because even just writing it down will help you remember. I sometimes take notes using different colors for different things (like red for very importent things or things i know will be one a test). If you don't know a question on a test, skip it and go back later. For multiple choice questions, if you don't know it right away, eliminate answers you know are wrong and pick the one that seems the best to you.

    - If you are going to be a freshman, don't freak out too much about essays. Even in my honors classes as a freshman, my "essays" weren't that bad, usually just a few paragraphs. The first (and most important) thign to do is PLAN your essay. if you have no organization and no good ideas, you will not get a good grade. And once you plan it out and think about it, it's A LOT easier to write it.

    - Umm, awkward, I'm gonna skip this one. . .

    - Being a freshman isn't really that bad. We got booed at pep rallies and we didn't get the best tables in the cafeteria, but it's not like we got beat up or shoved into lockers. If you go out of your way to tick off an upperclassman, they will not like it, but if you don't bother them, they won't be mean to you.

Overall, I would say that you should look forward to high school. It's a lot more fun than middle school and you can meet some awesome people if you join clubs and sports. The teachers aren't going to give you easy A's, but they will help you if you ask for it and if you show them that you are trying, they will help you even more (not to the point of doing your work for you, though).

If you keep a positive attitude it'll be more fun and easier.
