some kids like pop music[ appropriate] like Rhianna, Justin timber lake, miley Cyrus/ Hannah Montana,usher, things in that category. some kids like hip-hop[ appropriate]. when you are selecting music make sure it's appropriate not just how it sounds because words always have meanings and don't judge them barney and Elmo songs are not what they really want to hear, best advice is get a CD with different artist and songs that is pop, pop means popular, and just ask a few kids what music they like. music makes the world come together as one

Well, I'm 13 [loving since I was 11] and I am obsessed with The Beatles!!!!

I reallyrecommend ALL their early songs since they never cuss, they have good clean messages, and they have awesome melodies =D i recommend from personal experience!! although, if you wanna go with crappy music, go with Disney Cannel music.

i agree. things like the jonas brothers, Hannah montana, and if u dont wanna buy all the cd's u could buy Kids Bop. its like a mixture of all the popular songs that kids like. Good luck

Radio Disney puts out compilation CD's that kids love - you can buy them online or at Walmart.

High School Musical is also a huge hit with that age group as well as Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus. You really can't go wrong with those! :-)
