I am a senior in high school and our graduation is this Saturday. Class Night is Friday night. Our entire class gathers and awards are given out to individuals for their acomplishments over the past 4 years. I've been asked by our principal to make a speech for the opening remarks. Can you give me any guidance with what I should say?

  1. Well as you know you want their attention, so you know to use a joke to lighten the air. With smiles on their faces you start with your heading, then, body, and finish with a summery. The joke has to be full of wit. Shakespeare said wit is nature to advantage addressed. Well your nature is graduation what advantage is that, some obscure truth needs addressed. I believe its going to take understanding not ego to make our new world  come true. Commune,Commutation, Community. Commune means a platform of understanding using commutation to have a community than stands for something.

  2. Give an introduction worth listening too. Something that really gets everybody's attention. Then, relay ONLY the very important events that concerns your ENTIRE batch. Afterwards, tell what these events has done to change you or most of you (i.e. made you more mature, tested your determination, tap hidden talents). Then, expound on what you or your batch plans for the future knowng that you carry the name your school and what it has done for the better of you and everybody else. Finally congratulate everybody who contributed to the commencement of your high schhol life and tell the, that as much as possible, you will never ever forget them. It works better if you can relate your conclusion with your introfuction.

    Hope I helped. :-)
