Can you give me some ideas on making your own myth?

I have to come up with my own myth for an essay and explain how it came to be. Please give any ideas you have thanks!!

The easiest myth to make is one of the creation of the world. Or even something as simple as why some folks have dimples and others do not. My dear Irish grandmother told me that my dimples were there for the fairy folk to hide in as I was a fairy child and a true blessing to my family. I wrote a creation myth in Fable form on my 360 account it is titled The Spiral and the square. Perhaps reading it may give you some ideas I will of course provide a link for you. Just take in the bible, thats the biggest myth ever!!!!!!!!!!

If not, how about some sort alternative to evolution? We evolved from aliens or sumthing? Dunii, hope that sort of helps!
