Can you give me some reasons/cause why the eyes are red?

As far as I know, the red eyes occurred when:

-you have sore eyes

-you are drunk

-your eyes are itchy and you scrubbed it.

but these are so temporary.

I wonder why this guy I know whose eyes are permanently red

I bet his is in drugs. what do you think? if you are a doctor, please explain me further? and other possible reason why it is like that?

well i'm not a doctor but ur eyes could be dry or irritated. try some eye drops.
