Can you give me some suggestions for my 'project' on France?

Question

Ok I do A-level French and I have to do this 'project' which can be about anything although it must relate to France. You've got to be able to make some sort of question about it if you get me, for example 'Was France right to not get involved with the Iraq war?'...or 'How far has French fashion influenced fashion in the rest of the world?' (just some random examples off the top of my head)

Anyway, it has to be 1500 words and in French obviously. I can't think of a good topic though. I really don't like politics, and I'm not particularly fussed on fashion or food either. I like football and tennis but I can't think of a question to go with them. please help

How about this,

  Write a guide about your home town with the intention of attracting French tourists to your town.

   My daughter did a short one earlier this year as a class project.

The local museum were very interested in it and were quite helpful towards providing information for her.

maybe you can talk about why french people are so ******* rude? or why they are hairy and smell? or why they think they are better than america or why they think they are the best race in the world when they really aren't and about why they talk c**p about america, and then america kicks their fancy asses in the olimpics?  or why they act so homo.

What if you'd find a topic of interest in your own country and do a research about the same thing in France? You can write about anything, you don't need to focus on the stereotypical topics like fashion, wine, etc.

What about ...

... the influence of English on the French language? How is this influence limited in France? (it is...)

... separation of religion and state ... where are the current problematic areas in France? (there has been much discussion)

... history of the "Alsace" region ... very intersting ... it was French once, then German, French again .. interesting in terms of language because there is a German dialect even though the region is French and also because in history, there were tragic family stories as it could happen that one brother, depending on birth date, fought in war as a German soldier, the other brother on the French side.

... or just take any region to talk about

... or talk about wine ....

... or about the stereotypes ... are they true and to what extent?
