  1. US embassies worldwide treat all visa applicants as prospective immigrants. Hence, you and your family will have to adequately prove to the consular officer who conducts the visa interview, that you have strong links to the Philippines and intend to return home after a visit. This can be done by showing adequate funds in the bank accounts of applicants, other fixed assets such as houses, plots of land, businesses etc. And social/ family ties that will make return to the Philippines imminent.

Since there is a high incidence of Philippine citizens applying for US visit visas with the hidden intention to find jobs and remain there...screening of applicants and visa approvals are very strict.

Since your Mom is a doctor, she can first try and work for a couple of years in countries who have medical systems that are acceptable to the US. These include countries in the Arabian Gulf, where hospitals use the latest technology, systems and procedures. After a couple of years experience, she can apply through agencies for a job in the healthcare sector of the US. However, for her experience to be counted, she'll need to work at any of the highly reputed hospitals in that region. Arabian Gulf- simply because they import healthcare and medical staff unlike India and Thailand who have their own highly skilled staff, which makes finding jobs in the healthcare and medical sectors of those countries, difficult for foreigners.

Also note that entering the US on a visit visa and converting it to work visa is not as easy as most people believe. It is expensive, time consuming and very often- the applicant may be unsuccessful.

  2. it depends are u applying as a student or what but let me tell in your country there are more than 200 person's applying to each consular DAILY so if the consular is suspicious about 1 thing he wont give you the visa be prepared a 100% for all the questions he may ask Good luck
