Its for a studio art assignment. I have to give 8 artist from 200 years ago to now, in a timeline and include there style material and technique.

I'm having trouble finding one from 200 years ago.

William Blake, a very well known and admired English artist and poet flourished around 1800 until his death about 20 years later. So he fits in to your time period.  I believe he was viewed as being among the "romantic period" artists.  :))
