Couldn't find Bocchan dango or Botchan dango recipe, but I know it's mochi (rice flour) flavoured. 1st colored by red beans, the 2nd by eggs, 3rd by green tea. But I've known a Chinese version of it that's pretty similar

You can substitute the coloring wth the Japanese version of the flavour.

CHI CHI DANGO  

16 oz. Mochiko (sweet rice flour)

2 c. sugar

2 c. water

1 can coconut milk (12 oz.)

Food coloring

Potato starch (katakuriko)

Mix together mochiko, sugar, water and coconut milk in large bowl. Add food coloring to desired color. Grease a 9 x 13 inch pan and pour in mixture. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees. Remove cover and cool completely. Dust with potato starch and cut into squares, dusting with more potato starch
