  1. I live in southern Spain, and we can find it here... The brand is a german one, so evidently it can be found in Germany also. I know it also exists en France. And probably in most of Europe.... Were you looking for any particular country?

  2. I live in the U.S. and we use a lot of horseradish sauce especially in the summer because we bbq a lot. Anyway, one day we ran out and needed to make some in a pinch. I tried it 2 ways. The first was to use a product called Miracle whip and add horseradish to it (as much as we liked). The other way was to take mayonnaise (not fat free) and to it add a little of the juice from sweet gherkins pickles and horseradish.

Either way worked out well and no one could tell the difference between the jarred horseradish sauce or this. We tried adding sour cream once and it diluted the flavor of the horseradish.

  3. I've seen it offered in grocery stores in London.

  4. Sour cream, mayo and horseradish

  5. Plain horseradish, or horseradish sauce?  Here are a couple of recipes:

    First one:

    2 cups pan gravy

    2 tablespoons prepared horseradish

    1/2 cup heavy cream

    Salt and pepper

In a saute pan, whisk the gravy, horseradish and cream together, over medium heat. Cook the sauce for 4 to 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Mound the roasted potatoes in the center of the plate. Carve the brisket and lay over the potatoes. Spoon the sauce over the meat. Garnish with fried shallot crusts, chives and peppers.

    Second one:

    Horseradish Sauce:

    2 cups sour cream

    1/4 cup prepared horseradish, drained

    1 tablespoon minced chives

1 teaspoon Champagne or white wine vinegar

    1 teaspoon salt

    Dash hot red pepper sauce

In a bowl, combine all the ingredients and blend well. Adjust the seasoning, to taste. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

    Yield: 2 1/4 cups

Also, you should be able to buy horseradish at:
