Can you go fishing on a ship at sea? why not?

I was attached to one of the cruisers for couple of months,  I guessed the CO of the ship loves to fish 'cause he always wanted to do "fish- call." We did that 7-8 times in those two months in the Indian Ocean.

it depends on the ship...if you are where the fish are and you have the right lures etc..AND you are at the right speed and fishing at the right depth....THEN yes you can catch fish from a ship at sea...thats where ALL the fish are caucht now...they are called FISHING BOATS!!!!!

I would be very surprised if you were permitted to fish.

If you were permitted to fish, you should ask yourself how you will clean and cook your catch.

I doubt it.  Why?  It's because you are not on a cruise.

I've been stationed on 2 ships.  We had fish call every now and then.  You can't fish just any time you want to.
