  1. You can do it will take two days to get there, flying is cheaper and quicker, but no scenery.

  2. It can be done on one train.

If you're feeling extremely extravagant, go from London to Venice on the Orient Express.

  3. not on the same one!

  4. I have never done it so don't know if it's worth it. You can take eurostar to Paris and then get a train to the south of France and another one there to Italy. It will take a few days and I wouldn't fancy it myself. It would cut alot of time off your holiday and I can't imagine it being much fun.

  5. Well, of course you can ride trains from destination to destination but it wont be a one way ride, you will have substops, and interchanges. Its probally nt worth it, probally cheaper to fly. Hope this helps, Brodster

  6. First part of your question-yes, you can.

Second part-it's worthiness depends on your priorities. If you want to cruise, watch lovely scenery and take it easy then yes. If you want to get to Italy quickly and less expensively then hop on a cheap flight.

  7. Yes, Euro tunnel goes to Paris and Brussels from Waterloo, London. You would have to change trains there!

But it can be done. Here is an example, from the link below:

    Train times London ► Rome:

Travel from London to Paris by Eurostar, leaving London Waterloo at 12:09 (5 minutes earlier on Sundays) and arriving in Paris (Gare du Nord) at 15:59.  On Fridays & Sundays there's also a 13:09 Eurostar arriving Paris 16:56.  Cross Paris by métro to the Gare de Bercy.

Travel from Paris to Rome overnight on one of Europe's great expresses, the 'Palatino'.  The Palatino leaves Paris (Gare de Bercy) daily at 19:00 and arrives next morning in Rome (Stazione Termini in the city centre) at 09:50.

  8. yeah, course you can...they dug a big tunnel to france !!!

check the clean fast eurotunnel type trains, might have to change in paris/lille

bon voyage!! [north west wkd for mountain sport, kayaking -rainfall dependant- wine!]
