Can you go on the internet while on a plane?

I have an iPod touch, and i have a flight coming up, so i was wondering, can i go on the internet while on a plane?

Sorry, Princess, but airliners are not equipped for WI-FI. You can use a lap top to use your word processing and game programs, but you cannot surf the web.

NO.  

All electronic devices must have wireless functions turned off, or the device itself turned off.

No wi-fi, cell, or bluetooth allowed.  Those are federal regs, and a violation is a federal beef that can get you put off the plane, or met by the cops when you land.

Believe me, the crews look for this sort of thing.
