I live in new orleans and I always wanted to try surfing but I think all the water around here is too swampy.

  1. Not in the immediate area but you could take a trip down to gulf shores Alabama which is a nice area. not the best surfing in the world for sure but can give it a shot.

  2. h**l no u gone drown in that katrina water

  3. First you have to have waves, and I don't think there are any around there, except during hurricanes.

  4. You could try surfing during a hurricane in the lake, but that's about it.

  5. Sorry, but the Louisiana coastline doesn't produce the type waves needed for surfing.  Also, the Gulf of Mexico tends to have smaller waves than the ocean, so you probably have to go to Florida (Atlantic coast) to find surfing.

    Good luck!

  6. no.

  7. not unless a storm is coming.

    your on a cruise ship.

your friends make a wave with their boat.

  8. You live in New Orleans and you want to go surfing...

There are no surfing spots in the New Orleans area, simply due to the fact that there are no beaches with waves high enough to sustain a surfer on a surfboard. You might want to try the beach at Grand Isle during high seas, but I surely wouldn't recommend it.
