Can you go through the SEAL challenge with a GED?

I dropped out of highschool half way through my Junior year (not my choice i was forced to). I want to do one enlistment of 4 years in the marines, then branch transfer to the navy, "as my future goal" and yeah tell me is this possible?

  1. Yes, you can join the Marines with a GED.

    But, you will not be able to become a SEAL unless you stay in for a couple years to make a record for yourself.

    There are hundreds of applicants for this elite group, and only a few are selected.

    Many who become SEALs are veterans of combat, or have earned medals, and have high performance marks on their record.

    After you earn these credentials, you could apply; making it through their training requires that you can take lots of abuse, and work as a team, even at your own physical detriment.

    I've seen SEALs trained at boot camp at Coranado, and even those who are sick or disabled in training, still stay with team, being carried around by their buddies.

    They go to chow hall, carrying their life-raft boats with them, and if you cannot walk, you sit high inside the boat, carried there by others.

    Tough training, for tough people.  Fact you did not make it through high school doesn't speak well for your endurance in training.   You'll have to prove yourself again.
