  1. Yeah, you can also acquire one there - no big deal lots of people have them.

  2. I think you are ok unless you have a warrant out on you.    I saw one guy held at customs because he had a warrant pending in the US on him.  There are lots of people in DR who are on the lam from the law for a variety of reasons.

I knew one guy at least who had been to prison in Canada on a drug charge and he was living there for over a year.

  3. Citizens of the UK and all the developed countries don't need a visa to travel to the Dominican Republic. As long as you have passports and as long as he hasn't been previously deported from the Dominican Republic you should have no problem. The DR is not strict with that and they don't care if you have a criminal record. Have fun! :-)

  4. Yes. I've been twice and a person I've travelled with both times has a criminal record.......and lots of them.

He never got stopped once - they didn't as much as batter an eyelid at him. As long as he has valid passport like other people have said he will be fine.

    Have a great holiday!

  5. If he has a valid passport, then there is no problem to come to this country.

    Antipodean

  6. What country are you travelling from? In Canada you don't need a passport to go to Dominican Republic, so your criminal record wouldn't be a problem.
