Can you go to a tanning bed and just close your eyes?

Question

The past 3 days i went to a tanning bed and the place does not have eye wear so the first time i just put a towel over my eyes and closed them and the next to time i just closed my eyes as hard as i could becuawse i dont want to go like blind. is that bad? like only 3 times, well technacly 2 bc i had a towel over my face the first time. im not planning on doing it again without protective eye wear, i was just wondering

Well when I go and wear the eye wear I don't want to have white circles around my eyes so (I go in for 20 mins.) I will tan with them on for like 10 or 12 minutes then take them off and close my eyes. I don't think it would really hurt them. As long as they aren't open the light isn't really getting to your pupil to cause damage. If you constantly did it everytime it would prob. start to cause problems, but every once in a while shoudn't hurt them all that much. Be Safe!
