  1. Yes it is possible. Most boarding schools will have some type of transfer policy. At my boarding school, a few new students would come at the start of a semester (after New Years or after Spring Break). However, the competition for these limited spaces is fierce. And usually they are offered to students who have been on a waiting list. But this varies by school of course. However, schools do not have spaces open for each semester, which is why applying for a spot is considerably risky. Mainly because your admittance is dependent on another student getting expelled or voluntarily leaving during the school year. Sometimes nobody gets expelled, and sometimes nobody chooses to leave. Other times there will be several who get expelled or leave. It all varies.

It would be worth contacting the school to see if they have any spaces available, but I'm not sure if I would go through the troubles of the application before I made sure that there was an open space. What grade are you? Is this the last possible year for you to be in boarding school? Best of luck.
