I want to go medical school to study to be a doctor, but I want to go to college on the track of becoming either a Registered nurse or Pharmacist. Is this possible?

  1. Why do you not want to do the pre-med track? Is the RN as a back-up plan?  Pharmacy school is very competitive to get into (nursing also, but not as hard as there are more nursing than pharm schools)--so you might want to clarify in your mind what your goals are.

That being said, as long as you satisfy the pre-med requirements you  can major in anything. The nursing track will probably not satisfy all the pre-med reqs so you will have to add classes to do so.  If you are thinking of trying for med school right out of college (without actually completing the RN & working as an RN); you will have to explain that at your med school interviews.

  2. I don't see why not, being an RN might give you  a leg up when it comes to getting into med school

    Good luck
