Can you go to mexico without a passport?

We are going to get married in San Antonio and then he has to deliver his load in monterrey, mexico and on to saltillo. will I be able to come back into the country with just my birth certificate, new marriage certificate and drivers license???

  1. Monterrey, party party, you can get a passport card, but it will take a few weeks, half the price of a passport , for land and sea travel

"JUlie" is close to correct.  passports are not needed now to travel by land to and from Mexico.  The date has not been set.  it could possibly be as early as this summer, but is miuch more like;y to be summer 2009.  You can see the site below and read the top half of the page carefully for the current ino.

  4. That depends on when you are getting married.

    If you are driving into Mexico and returning before the summer of 2008, then you can still do so with just proof of citizenship and a government issued photo ID (If you fly you need a passport).  

    That will change sometime in this upcoming summer.  I recommend you get one, though, if you can, since getting in and out could be more difficult without.
