can you grow a plant by taking a piece of root from another plant and planting it ??

  1. Yes and furthermore you can grow a plant from single cells and almost any part of the plant if you use rooting hormones/powders and pirating techniques.


  2. Yes you can, not all plants will grow but I had success doing this with many - perennials, shrubs etc.

  4. Yes particularly if it an established plant and you can split it sometimes getting three or four plants, canna lilies easy to grow from root cuttings best done in dormant season

  5. With some plants you can, it called a root cutting.
