Can you grow a plant underground without sunlight or will it die?

  1. You can grow it under ground if you supply it with light and water and CO2 and O2 and soil nutrients. Artificial light can be ued by plants for photosynthesis.


  2. There are ways to grow plants underground with artificial light sources. There are even plants that thrive in the dark. You would need to build a "terrarium" and keep it in a closet to measure which plants do best as well as what plants sprout up on their own. I have seen "dark growing rooms" and they have interesting success on as range of flora and fauna. Good Luck!
