Conservative columnist David Brooks tonight on PBS, after Ted Kennedy's speech at the Democratic National Convention, related an anecdote about being on John McCain's bus a day or so ago when McCain received a phone call from HIS FRIEND Ted Kennedy, who called merely to say hello and wish him well.
Doesn't this illustrate what is lost on most of you, that adversaries fight the good fight when they treat their opponents with respect and confine their battle to the battle of ideas, not the battle of smears and hatred?
I wonder if you all are capable of learning a bit of a lesson from Ted Kennedy and John McCain?
