Can you guy's give me sure fire ways to save energy/elictricity on a computer?

The best way to limit the electric consumption is to turn it off.  If that won't work for you you should be able to at least turn the monitor off and set the computer to go into standby or sleep mode.  Turn off any auxillary devices such as printers, scanners, ect., or make sure they go into sleep mode as well.  Don't use a screen saver.  Most screen savers use a lot of processor power and may prevent you're computer from going into a standby mode.  It's best just to turn the monitor off.
