i was told by my teacher to interview the cleaning personnel in my school to validate my survey but i think it's not neccessary cause my survey is only to show how many highschool students perform solid waste management. so should I follow what she's saying?

2. do not follow the teachers instructions - do what you want to do - and get a bad grade

It's entirely up to you - but, obviously if the teacher gave you specific instructions for the report, why are you questioning it?
