I'm in a bit of a fashion/makeup rut. I'm going to be a sophmore this year at high school and all last freshman year all I wore was t-shirts and jeans. I always wore eyeliner. The t-shirts had cute little sayings on them and my eyeliner ran alot because I had cheap eyeliner. <_>

I'm sick and tired of this look. I did some school clothes shopping and got some cute, fashionable, plain tees and some cute skirts, shorts, and new fashionable jeans. Unfortunatly I didn't get alot. I have $55.00 bucks left. <_> I just got my hair cut to go with my new style. I need some advice!

1. I need some new makeup tips! I'm soo tired of just eyeliner. I have round brown eyes and pale skin. I also have chesnut brown shoulder length hair.

2. As you can tell I was in a bit of a blah fashion rut. Alot of my shirts are tight on me and they're just outta style and not good for a high schooler. (I never new, I was homeschooled until freshman year) Can you send me some cute ideas that are within a reasonable price range? I have a pretty good amount of "regular" clothes but it's not enough so I need a few more things.

I'm not picky and I still want to be myself I just want a new wardrobe change. I'm so tired of plain graphic tees and jeans. Blech it makes me sick looking at one side of my closet. (I seprated graphics from regular plain shirts and I have some many graphic tees.) Also. What should I do with the old graphic tees I have? They are in good condition! Is there a thrift store that pays money to take them? Thanks so much and PLEASE no rude comments! :)

  1. I was going to try and answer this, but it was too much to read so good luck with whatever it is. :)

  2. Well, all I can really say is experiment! Buy some cheap makeup in lots of different colours, and just lock yourself in the bathroom for about an hour with all of it and some remover wipes, and just try out loads of different looks. Lol.

For brown eyes, try brown, dark brown and gold eyeshadow/eyeliner.

Go to shops and try stuff on until you find a style that suits you. And you could probably put your old tops on eBay, I think that sort of thing is in right now so they'll probably be easy to sell.

  3. Oh, I've been there before! I would say you should go for accessories to dress up the outfits you already have, then go to an inexpensive but good-quality store like H&M or Forever 21, or even Salvation Army. I would say try to sell your clothes at Salvation Army, a local thrift store, or Plato's Closet, if they are brand-name. For the accessories, try to get bold ones that have a lot of flair but are still fashionable and wearable (no leopard fur chokers)! I recommend going to a store like Claire's or For Love 21. I know Claire's sounds cheap and young and babyish, but they have the cutest necklaces and earrings. Get some leggings too and you're good to go!

Oops, almost forgot about the makeup! Wear a nice peach-colored cream blush with mascara and golden eyeshadow. If you NEED eyeliner, try brown right on the lashlines, and of course use concealer where you need it. Some sheer light pink lipgloss is always flattering, too!

I hope I helped. Good luck with sophomore year!

  4. eBay all your old shirts, or just give them to a charity shop if you're feeling generous. As for the 'new look' side of things, I don't think I can advise you on how to dress or how to do your make-up, so maybe just pick up some magazines or something for some ideas that you like, rather than other people's ideas.
