u cant make a player a recorder because the laser inside isnt strong enough. to download an video to a cd download the video using some type of flv downloader then right click on the file and click send to (the name of your dvd burning drive) then burn it using the wizard.

You cannot turn a DVD player into a recorder without spending more money than it would cost to just go out and buy a recorder. The technology is just too different.

One comparison would be to say that it's like converting a film camera to a digital camera, just too many changes and know how necessary.

To put a video you downloaded into a CD, you will need software that will do the job like Roxio or Nero, and also video editing software if there is anything you want to change in the video.
