Can you have 2 events on the same year on a timeline?

i have to make a timeline about someone,

and i was wondering if i can put two different events on the same year

    For example, if you were writing about Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th President of the US, you could note that in 1884 that his first child Alice was born, and that his first wife and his mother also died.  Those would all be significant enough events to a person that they should be listed on a timeline, and they all occured within 2 days of each other (so definitely the same year).
