If somebody lives in Toronto in the winter and at their cottage in the summer, can they have 2 family doctors...one in each place?

  1. I'm from Canada and in all honesty I can't see why you can't visit more than one doctor.  Sometimes when my family doctor is too busy with others I go to the best drop in clinic around.  I don't refer to this second doctor though as my family doctor.  If you are even 50 miles away and were sick, would you drive the fifty miles back home to see your family doctor.  My doctor would be the first to tell me to see whoever I could if I couldn't get back.

I would phone or email your provinces health care provider and ask!  Surely this is who to call for the legalities of it all.  Here's a link!

    Blessings :)

  2. I don't know why you couldn't, but good luck with that.

There is a shortage of doctors as it is. If you can find 2 - more power to you.

    :)
