sup you'll, Im new to directv. Always had cable. I have my DT dvr box in my room and want to know if I can split the signal to the TV in my living room. I don’t mind that they both will be on the same channel since I live alone. I just don’t want to have to pay 4 another box. Please let me know how. thanks

  1. It depends.  You can't split the HD signal at this point.  DirecTV will be introducing a new multiswitch to allow this soon but it's very limited in availability at this point.  If you are just watching regular channels then you will have no trouble sending the signal to multiple tv's.

I had DishNetwork in the past and the one good feature they had was the remote that was radio instead of IR.  I had my receiver in the utility room and could change channels anywhere in the house.

  2. Yes you can. I have a second TV with other video cams hooked up to it & even use a switch box to switch from the video cams to the Directv.
