Can you have a bakesale?

We are having a charity program going on at our school right know. I was wondering if I could have a bake sale in my neighborhood. Is the legal? Can I just have one in the front lawn? And do you have to be a certain age to have one?

Depends on you Home Owners Association's rules.

Any one who is party to the event by any means, whether performer, intermediary ,manager,directing the event or any way connected with the success of the event can do that. There is no age bar if it is done by the students of the school where the event is going on.and the act is duly authorized by the event manager and funds are going to the school for the event only or for the declared purpose of the event., that must be a legal one.

You can have a bake sale to raise money for your school at the school, or you can ask a local store if you can put a table at the front of their store - you can even sell hot dogs, pretzels, drinks, etc., there, or you can have a car wash in a local business parking lot.  The thing is, you have to have permission to fund-raise in the parking lot, establishment, etc.  You can't just set up shop on your front lawn - you'd need a permit.  You can have the bake sale or other fund-raiser at the school, or other business establishment, with their permission.
