Can you have a chain repaired that has been broken??

my son pulled my chain and it broke and was wondering if you could have it repaired Thank you very much for answering my question NOT SURE OF THE SECTION TO POST MY QUESTION

Yes, you can.  My husband works in that field.  If it is gold then it can be (soldar) that is the word in Spanish.  In English I dont know how to say it but the jeweler can just weld it together with a special instrument that they use to weld jewelry etc.  They may have to put a piece of gold in if it broke at a certain place then weld it.  But it is possible.  I would take it to a jeweler and have them fix it.  My husband charges $7.00 each places that has to be welded togethere on the chain unless you have to ad a sm. piece of gold to it then it would be extra.  A jeweler probably would cost a little bit more, but they can do the job. They probably have to send it away to a company that does their work for them like what my husband does so it may take a week or so to get back.  Good luck.  

If it is silver I am sure they can do the same thing using silver.

Yeah... Sears and other stores that sell jewelry usually does repairs. Most malls have jewelry repair kiosks. They'll fix it while you wait. You can also google "jewelry repair" and enter your zip code to find a place near you.
