  1. yes

  2. I had that same question.  I had BTinternet, which was costing me a fortune.  I asked a question on this thing, was given advice and have since switched to TalkTalk.  It might not have been the best choice but BT were far too expensive; it was the rental!  I'm getting my first TalkTalk bill today I think.  Just call TalkTalk and they'll hook you up and all you'll get from BT is a final bill, mine was 11p, and a letter saying how sorry they are to be losing you, with the hookup to TalkTalk date included.

  3. Yes you can use any model phone you want Phillips panasonic. Although your computer might not like it if you dont it may want to make a phone call.

  4. Technically yes, you can have a PC without a BT phone line.

But I'm wondering if what you really mean is, can you get Internet on your computer without a BT phone line, in which case the answer is also yes - with NTL or rather Virgin Media.
