  2. If the plants are marginals and oxygenators, I would say yes. But if they are water lilies and other plants with leaves floating on the surface, you must  NOT use a fountain. the surface will be disturbed, which they do not like, and even if they survive they will rarely flower. This does not apply to a large pool, where surface plants could be planted at one end the fountain at the other.

  3. most plants are fine, Lillies don't like the movement much, they cope o.k in our pond but we keep them at the other end to the fountain

  4. depends on the plants and the location of the fountain... for example, water lily prefers quiet water to that of a tumbling creek or waterfall..... other plants  will grow right at the side of a waterfall quite happily.... if the pool is big enuff you can have both....

  5. I'm guessing you are talking about a pond....and not a swimming pool.

    Yes...the only problem will be with water lillies. They require the water to be still. Moving water effects the buds and they will not open right. All other water plants will be OK.

    I have had a pond for 10 yrs
