Can you have a heavy period and still be pregnant?

i been feeling a lot of symptoms of pregnancy and my boyfriend really believes i am . we had s*x last monday and i got my period the tuesday of the next week. it came really heavy and really early. it was supposed to come monday of next week. i have more cramps than usual. my symptoms are; i been really hungry, having to use the bathroom a lot . random headaches and stomach aches that were really bad. i think there were more but i cant remember off hand. i dont know what i should think or what i should do.

  1. Yes it is possible to have your period and still be pregnant.  I would strongly suggest to you that you go see your doctor/midwife to make sure everything is fine with your pregnancy.


  2. It is possible to have bleeding that resembles a period and still be pregnant. But it MUST be evaluated by a health care provider to make sure this isn't a miscarriage. Not all bleeding in pregnancy means miscarriage or a threat to the pregnancy, but only a health care provider can tell you for sure.

    You could try testing now if you think you may be having symptoms, as only a test can tell you for sure whether you are pregnant.

  5. you cant have your period if you're pregnant. periods are the body practicing for a baby. if there was a baby, it was keep it warm or safe or something alone those lines. but if there's no baby, the blood emptys out.
