Can you have a negative TSH level?

It appears from my blood work that I have a -1.15 for TSH hormone, how could this be?

  1. TSH is a hormone released from the pituitary gland. I don't see how you could have negative levels of a hormone in your body. Maybe the results are just listed as - 1.15 and that doesn't indicate a negative sign?


  2. Yeah. That's a dash, either that or it's a log-scale of some kind.

    Seriously, how can you have less than none of a molecule? Can you have less than zero apples on a table?
