My family has been offered by the Share Your Home YFU (Youth For Understanding) to host an exchange student. We made a wet bar and the program has to inspect our house to make sure it is a suitable environment for the student. We were wondering if they would not let us host a student because of the bar. Would they let us host a student?

  1. I'm not sure what their rules are, but I would suggest locking up the liquor.

  2. Lock up the liquor and you should be good. Most exchange students are responsible and trustworthy anyhow that's why they are chosen for the programs, they are good students.

I really think just putting it away for the stay will be fine, in a locked cabinet or have a friend keep just the liquor for you until they are gone, the students I mean. They don't expect you not to have life :0) I'm sure its not a big deal as long as its not easily available for the students just in case.
