Can you have an internet card for your computer?

The cards like you can have on a laptop, & borrows the internet from other computers.

Yes, one is needed to connect to the Internet. A second can be installed to interconnect with other local users.

Actually just one is needed together with a hub to interconnect with multiple sources.

Yes, any card that goes into a laptop can go into a desktop type computer.  You just might have to get an adapter for it.

I don't know what you mean about borrowing from another computer.  Most of the laptop cards are for wireless which get their Internet from a router.
