I.e, through dual citizenship in countries that allow it.

  1. In specific case yes - as you indicate in your question.

    It depends largely on the original country of citizenship and their relationship with the second country of choice.

    I reckon its one of the great  privileges of citizenship - to be able to have two -  when there are so many good people with none,  languishing as refugees in pretty awful conditions, and diplomatically at a dead end,  all around the world

Yes;we had a neighbor with dual citizenship in Britain - US .She married American military .Megan Fellows who was on Disney channel as Anne of Green Gables;is Canadian-US dual citizenship.It's somewhat rare as we have to have most favored nation status with them.You don't want a spy having it.
