  2. St. Louis County uses the  "Uniform Plumbing Code."

    Yes copper tubing is accepted to supply water to a Water heater, be sure you use the right type (K, L, M, etc.) You should be able to call your local code enforcement or city inspectors office and they will be able to tell you what is required in your specific area.

    the code is not available in it entirety online, and it is very expensive to purchase the book over 100$!
