I had a hip resurfacing a year ago - long scar, over 12". Somehow the surgeon left this pooch of fat bulge under the incision that I do not have on the other side. I've got two plastic sugeons scratching their heads about what to do. Do you think lipo can be done on a hip that was opened up all the way a year ago and sewn back up?

  1. Last spring my mother underwent a liposuction procedure and the results look really good so far. In my state a there are certain cosmetic surgeons that are better than others. I'd consult cosmetic surgeons in your area and see what they have to offer. http://www.plasticcosmeticsurgerycenter.... A local cosmetic surgeon should be able to answer your questions.

  2. if there's fat and there's skin to stick a tube through to reach it, i don't see why not, because that's all that seems to be involved. however, the area could still be sensitive deep within, and a year might not be ample enough time to be bothering with it again, because liposuction is super invasive and leaves some intense bruising.

but then again, if your surgeons are confused, what do i know?
