  1. shur alot alot of people buy a second policy for a colector car that they dont drive much through a company like hagerty

  2. Sure!! no matter how many there is no numbers.. the only numbers you have to check its that one from your packet.. MONEY.

  3. sure but why pay more money than you need dont make sense is one not high enough

  4. I have two auto policies.  One with my car on it and another with my husband's truck and car.  You cannot have two policies cover the same vehicle.  The benefit of having two policies would be if you live in a state where you can stack your underinsured benefits.

  5. yeah i could

  6. Sure, but they can't insure the same car.

  7. On the same car?  I suppose you can but only one will pay.

I policy for each owned car ?  Of course

  8. Yes, especially if you have more than 1 car.

  9. yes, but only one per car, unless it is suplimental insurence, like accidental death or added injury insurence.

  10. Of course you can, In some states you can have up to 3 cars insurance policies.

  11. No, yes, and maybe.  You can have a regular policy from one company, and a top-up or special policy, like glass coverage, from another, to reduce deductibles or cover items not covered on your base policy.  However, you cannot collect on 2 policies covering the same thing.  You can only collect on 1, and if you have 2, a claim will take forever as both companies off-load on each other.

If you have more than one vehicle, you may insure with different policies, but then you lose your multi-vehicle discount.

  12. why not?
