Can you have more than one memory on animal crossing wild world?

me and my sis want to share the game but she wants to play as her character. how do you switch back and forth between memories?

There can be up to 4 people in the attic of your house. So when you start up the game and tap "continue," then next you would tap on the character you want to use. At the main menu, when you select "new resident," it does NOT erase the previous file on the game. Once you have 4 people, this option goes away entirely.

The memory of your game is stored on the game card, not the actual DS itself, so if you want to have separate towns, you are going to have to buy two game cards. But if you are okay with sharing the same town, up to four people can live in the attic, all you have to do is tap "New Resident" on the welcome screen.
