Can you have ovulation spotting once even if you've never had it before?(how does it look?)

I asked a similiar question myself today, and from I can gather yes it does happen, even if you've never had it before (I never have either) before and had a tiny bit of spotting (literally one tiny spot) and it was light pink, I'm guessing the colour can vary slightly but generally from what I've read of other's experiences it is generally more pinkish in colour and only a tiny amount.
